As a peer-to-peer venue, the platform cannot guarantee the behavior of any user or the health of any pet listed. An unsatisfactory experience may result from the following scenarios, for which the user assumes responsibility:

User Responsibility / Risk

Platform Action

Misrepresentation of Health

The pet is later found to have an undiagnosed illness or genetic condition not disclosed by the seller.

Users must report health misrepresentation immediately. The platform will ban fraudulent sellers, but is not liable for veterinary costs.

Temperament Mismatch

The pet’s behavior or energy level does not match the buyer’s home after rehoming (e.g., struggles with children, separation anxiety).

Buyers are responsible for spending adequate time with the pet and asking detailed questions about its temperament before adoption.

Logistical Issues

The seller changes the price, refuses to meet in an agreed-upon location, or the pet is no longer available after a long commute.

Users should confirm all key details (price, availability, meeting point) in writing using the internal messaging system before traveling.

Deposit Disputes

The buyer forfeits their deposit after placing a Pet Reservation but deciding not to proceed with the transaction.

The platform is not responsible for settling deposit disputes, but will investigate claims of breach of the Reservation Policy.
