These guidelines establish the standards for behavior, communication, and content on FurryListings. By using this service, you agree to uphold a safe and responsible community environment.
To ensure a positive experience, all users—both Buyers and Sellers—must be proactive in recognizing and avoiding common mistakes and scams:

A responsible seller will always prioritize the welfare of the pet and your safety. If a seller uses any of the following excuses, we strongly advise you to discontinue communication and report the listing.

"They promise they'll send you the paperwork later." | This is often used to hide missing vaccination records, false breed claims, or an expired health certificate. | Insist on receiving all vaccination and health paperwork at the time of pickup. |
All listings must prioritize the welfare of the animal and provide accurate, honest information.
2.1. Mandatory Age Rule: Puppies and kittens must be at least eight (8) weeks old and fully weaned before being listed for sale or rehoming. Ads violating this rule will be rejected.
2.2. Honesty in Health and Breed: You must truthfully disclose the pet’s health status, including vaccination, spay/neuter, and microchip status. Misrepresenting a pet’s breed, age, or medical history is strictly prohibited.
2.3. Original Photos Required: All images must be current, clear, and original photos of the actual pet or item being listed. Stock photos or heavily edited images are not allowed.
2.4. Prohibited Listings: You may not post ads for animals that are illegal to own, endangered, or visibly ill or injured. Listings must be relevant to the pet classifieds categories.
2.5. One Pet Per Ad (Exception): You must create separate listings for individual pets, unless you are a subscriber using the Post a Litter feature.
All users must treat each other with respect and take necessary steps to protect their personal safety and security.
3.1. Respectful Communication: Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, or aggressive behavior toward other users or platform staff is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension.
3.2. Secure Transactions Only: You must not attempt to finalize sales or request payments outside of secure, standard methods. Demanding payment via wire transfers, gift cards, or cryptocurrency is a violation of these guidelines and a sign of fraud.
3.3. Privacy and Data: You must not misuse or share personal information (emails, phone numbers, addresses) obtained from other users. All communication should be initiated through the platform's internal messaging system.
4.1. Consequences of Violation: Failure to comply with these guidelines or the Terms of Use may result in the removal of your listing, temporary account suspension, or permanent account termination, at the sole discretion of the platform.
4.2. Duty to Report: If you suspect any violation of these guidelines (including scam attempts, welfare issues, or abuse), you have a duty to report the activity immediately using the "Report Ad" or "Report User" function.
