Identity verification is an optional but highly recommended step to confirm your identity or business legitimacy to the community. Verified accounts receive a trust badge, which significantly increases buyer confidence and the success rate of listings.
Builds Trust: The "Verified" badge immediately signals to buyers that you are a legitimate user who has passed our review process.
Reduces Scams: Verification makes it much harder for fraudulent accounts to operate on the platform.
Future Requirements: Some features or high-volume activities may eventually require verification.
Access the Verification Center: Navigate to your "Dashboard" and select the "Verification Center" tab, or go directly to: https://furrylistings.com/dashboard/verification.
Confirm Account Type: Ensure your Account Type is correctly listed (e.g., Owner, Breeder, or Shelter/Rescue).
Select Your Document Type: Under the "Select Your Document Type*" field, choose the form of government-issued identification you will upload:
Government-Issued ID
Driver License
Passport
Upload Documents:
Click "Upload Front Side of Your Document*" to upload a clear image of the front of your selected ID.
Click "Upload Back Side of Your Document*" to upload a clear image of the back of your selected ID (if applicable, such as with a driver's license).
Take Your Selfie:
Click the "Take Selfie" button.
Important: Make sure your face is well-lit and clearly visible without any obstructions. This step helps us match your photo ID to the person registering the account.
Submit: Click "Submit & Verify" to send your documents for review.
Review Process: Submitted documents enter a secure queue for human review. This process can take 24-48 hours. You will receive an email notification when the review is complete, and the Verified Trust Badge will appear on your profile.
We use industry-standard encryption to protect all uploaded documents. Your identity documents are viewed only by trained personnel for the sole purpose of verification and are never shared with other users or third parties.
